Thank you for your interest in Lotierzo Family Vineyards.


We are a boutique, family owned winemaking team whose goal and focus is to create premium quality wines that we are proud to serve and enjoy with our friends and family. Following a family practice that dates back to my grandfather making wines for his family and neighbors in the 1920’s and 30’s, we were excited to revive that tradition here in California after taking a number of courses in Winemaking as well as Vineyard Production and Management during 2006 and 2007.

We made our first wines in 2006 and with help of many friends, planted our vineyard in 2007. Initial plantings were of the Bordeaux varietals Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc and later we grafted some Nebbiolo, the Italian varietal from northern Italy used to make their ‘big boys’ Barolo and Barbaresco. While waiting the 3 years for our vines to mature, we continued to hone our skills by sourcing grapes from premier growing areas including Sonoma, Paso Robles and Guadalupe Valley.


Our early wines were, shall we say, a great learning curve, made in our garage as amateurs; however, by 2008 they were becoming closer to what we had envisioned. We were pleasantly surprised and humbled when we began winning awards at California county fair competitions including: Best in Class, Gold and Silver awards at the San Diego County Fair, and Double Gold, Gold and Silver medals at the Orange County Fair. With such reward and encouragement, not to mention better wines evolving over the next few years, we decided to take the plunge and obtain our commercial license enabling us to bring our wines to you.

In 2012, we began by managing two small but high quality and established vineyards in Paso Robles. Our goal of finding and growing premier fruit was now within our grasp. In October we were rewarded with a harvest of gorgeous clusters of sun ripened fruit and knew we were off to a great start. Additionally we procured our annual allotment of Guadalupe Valley Nebbiolo, which had consistently made mouth watering, full bodied wines during the prior years and was responsible for many of our awards.


In a time when many wineries are being bought by bigger corporations, we're delighted to be one of the few, small, boutique family-run wineries crafting very limited quantities of high quality wines.

Thanks to the generosity and friendship of renowned Central Coast winemaker Daniel Daou and his superb cellar team, I was invited to make my wines at their beautiful facility in Paso Robles. I can assure you, this would be any winemakers dream and readily admit that without their support, mentorship and guidance this endeavor would not have been possible for us. I express my family’s sincere and deepest gratitude to Daniel, his brother Georges and ‘the crew’ for allowing us to realize our dream.


Our promise to you is that we will take no shortcuts in our winemaking process, use only the highest quality fruit and barrels and strive to make the best wines possible.


We will only bottle wines that we are proud to serve to our own family and friends. Anything short of that will not bear our label.
